NEW: AD Plant Operator
Location: Home-based role with regular travel to our sites in Cambridgeshire & Somerset and other UK locations.
Hours: Full time
Reports to: AD Plant Manager
Role Purpose
Under the guidance of the Lead Operator and Plant Manager, to ensure that the anaerobic digestion (AD) plant is operated in a safe and efficient manner. The role will involve operating site machinery, managing feedstock input and WIP levels, undertaking general maintenance, keeping the site tidy at all times. The main purpose of the role is to ensure that the AD plant is fed and maintained to ensure safe and consistent output of biogas.
The role will work on a 4 on/4 off, 10 hour day shift basis, with a scheduled on-call rota.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all duties are carried out in a safe manner with due attention to the health, safety, and environmental impact for self and others
- Prepare feedstocks, monitor feedstock levels and deliver feed to the digestors in a controlled manner
- Carry out all tool, mobile plant and equipment checks on a daily basis, undertake maintenance as required and report any defects to the Plant Manager
- Drive and operate a range of mobile plant including TM, forklift truck, telehandler, loading shovel and front loader
- Adhere to standard operating procedures
- Undertake plant inspections and follow up action as required
- Routine monitoring and correction of plant operation
- Collect feedstock and digestate samples for laboratory sampling, undertake sample testing as necessary
Perform standard maintenance as outlined by the Engineering Manager
- Support the Lead Operator with the resolution of any plant performance issues
- Support the monitoring of plant SCADA control systems, acting on and escalating any issues as necessary
- Collate and update daily KPI and feed record reports
- Carry out set operational procedures to ensure the plant returns to optimal performance following maintenance.
- Report any Near Misses, Incidents, Safety or Environmental concerns in the appropriate manner
- Maintain good housekeeping standards across the site

Professional Profile
Experience Renewable energy, FMCG, waste sectors
- Plant and/or factory operational background, minimum of 18 months
- Driving and using mobile plant
- Working within a team
- Health & Safety training, IOSH Managing Safely would be advantageous
- DSEAR and Environment Agency experience would be advantageous
Skills Teamwork

- Computer literate with a working understanding of Microsoft Office
Qualifications Licence for driving mobile plant
- English and Maths GCSE or equivalent

Statutory Accountant (Part time)
Location: Wisbech – office location
Hours: 3 days per week (24 hours)
Salary: £45k to £55k FTE (full time equivalent).
25 days holiday + stat bank hols.
Reports To: Finance Manager
Role Accountabilities
- Preparation of full audit files ahead of the groups audit.
- Preparation of the groups FRS 102 annual statutory accounts.
- Preparation of the groups multiple annual consolidated accounts.
- Preparation of the groups iXBRL accounts.
- Preparation of the groups monthly interest charges and holding company accounts.
- Preparation of the consolidated monthly management accounts.
- Liaising with external auditors.
Key Skills Required
- Recognised ACCA qualification or equivalent
- Experience managing the year-end process
- Understanding of tax computations and posting of tax journals
- A minimum of 3 years experience of statutory accounts preparation
- Big 4 audit interaction experience
- Experience of Microsoft Office with advanced use of Excel spreadsheets and Word
- Experience of Sage 50
- Experience of Caseware or similar software
- Ability to communicate at all levels within the business and external auditors
- Ability to work under pressure to meet exacting deadlines
Tasks
- Preparation of the group’s full audit files including full balance sheet reconciliations key profit and loss areas and preparation of the group’s cash flow statements.
- Preparation of the group’s FRS 102 annual statutory accounts on Caseware.
- Preparation of the group’s multiple annual consolidated accounts.
- Preparation of the group’s iXBRL accounts on Caseware, together with submissions to Companies House.
- Calculation of monthly interest charges and nominal ledger postings.
- Preparation of the monthly holding company accounts and monthly consolidated accounts.
- Maintenance of the monthly key areas of statutory accounts including related party transactions, Intercompany loan reconciliations, HP and payroll reconciliations.
- Preparation of the group’s technical papers for review by Pwc.
- Process and posting of the group’s opening balances through Sage 50.
- Provide information to the group’s tax advisors and process the group’s tax computations through Caseware.
- Provide effective cover for the Finance Manager.
