Finance Business Partner

  • Support the Finance Director with the preparation of insightful financial information that enables the best strategic and operational decision making across the business
  • Support the directors and business managers with understanding the P&Ls for all group companies focussing on profit improvement opportunities and actions
  • Business systems development ensuring that accurate and timely information is available for managers and directors, enabling the best decisions making
  • Manage the production of annual budgets and monthly forecast updates for all group trading companies ensuring input and ownership from business managers
  • Preparation, review and presentation of monthly management accounts, for all group trading companies
  • Preparation, review and production of the monthly Board Pack ensuring accuracy of KPIs and financial information presented
  • Manage the validity and accuracy of weekly and monthly KPIs across all group companies
  • Management of trading company costing models and reporting of actual performance against these
  • Produce and present weekly ‘flash’ P&Ls with comparisons against budget/forecast as relevant
  • Cover for the Finance Manager and Management Accountant
  • Management and development of the Management Accountant
  • Support the production of annual statutory accounts for group companies

Skills & Experience Required

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA preferred) with a minimum of three years’ post qualification business partnering and/or management accounting experience; exceptional QBEs will be considered
  • Power BI (or similar business intelligence software) experience
  • Advanced Excel skills, intermediary PowerPoint skills, competent Word skills
  • Big picture focussed with the ability to dive into and manage the detail when required
  • Proven ability to communicate at all levels and work effectively in cross functional teams
  • Management of finance employees, proficient leadership skills
  • SME and corporate experience

Please note, this is a 3-day (24 hours) per week role, the advertised salary is the full time equivalent, actual salary will be pro-rata in line with days worked.

Base salary

£40,000/yr – £50,000/yr
