Full Job Description:

The SHEQ Manager plays a pivotal role in championing safety, health, environmental sustainability and quality management across our operations. Working closely with our operational teams, the role will provide hands-on support and expert guidance to uphold compliance with UK health & safety legislation.

The role is responsible for:

· Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive health and safety programs in accordance with UK health and safety regulations.

· Ensure compliance with relevant UK legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated regulations.

Through SHEQ processes support management to maintain an efficient anaerobic digestion (AD) biogas plant to support biogas production and support sibling businesses in achieving their objectives whilst maximising profitability of the AD plant itself.

Specific responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain a positive H&S culture aligned with our company goals

· Ensure policies and procedures comply with legislation and are effectively communicated and embraced

· Manage the creation, delivery and record keeping of site specific documentation such as RAMS and Toolbox talks

· Implementing and actioning requirements in relation to DSEAR, PSSR, Confined Spaces, LOLER, PUWER & Non-Conformance reports.

· Set & achieve relevant key performance indicators

· Lead on continual review and management of staff training

· Lead on H&S audits and reviews, the creation and delivery of action plans to improve company performance

· Lead investigations into any accidents or near misses, communicating learnings to our employees and managers

· Drive forward key H&S initiatives

· Implement, developing, and maintaining emergency procedures

· Ensure processes are in place to onboard and manage new employees and contractors

· Carrying out on site, in-house audits

· Lead regular safety meetings with relevant employees and teams to communicate and resolve issues within the business

· Act as the point of contact for external bodies, such as the HSE, insurers, external auditors and certification bodies

· Maintain accurate records of all safety-related activities, incidents, inspections, and training programs.

Maintenance Engineer (Electrical)

Full job description

What will you be doing day to day?

  • Ensuring that the assets under our responsibility are maintained in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Meeting our high standards and performance requirements including achieving a high plant availability.
  • Responding to alarms and downtime events, undertaking fault diagnosis and rectification.
  • Completing quality checks to ensure no maintenance is required.
  • Completing emergency maintenance when equipment breaks down.
  • Supervising specialist contractors and overseeing site operations to ensure all activities are undertaken safely and efficiently.

What you’ll need:

  • You’ll demonstrate the highest safety values and always promote a positive attitude to safety.
  • You will be a highly flexible and motivated individual with ability to prioritise workload.
  • You will hold an NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering with a minimum of two years practical application in the field.
  • In addition, you will need to be a good communicator and be able to provide a focussed approach to delivering customer service.

We’re also looking for:

  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification or equivalent (essential).
  • Participate in an out of hours emergency support rota for our plants (essential).
  • Have a good knowledge of the gas industry and current health and safety regulations (desirable).
  • Have experience of working safely on gas sites (desirable).
  • Understand the principles of biogas production processes (desirable).
