A grand day out

20 September 2022

Some of our team were lucky enough to attend as one of the Gold Sponsors the Mid Somerset Show in Shepton Mallet last month.

The show’s patron is our new King, King Charles III, and it seems a fitting tribute to the sad news we have all recently experienced to share our time at this special show.

For the show to remain free for all attendees, local businesses, large and small, have options to sponsor the show. Over 100 businesses and individuals commit to this, including Adapt Biogas, this year and help to create one of the best agricultural shows in the South West.

There was so much to take in, from the dog shows to vintage vehicles as well as the fantastic Cheese Show and Food Hall on display.

Particularly of interest to us as Anaerobic Digestion specialists were the well-regarded Cheese Awards and the Somerset Cider Championships; both have some waste ingredients which would be an excellent addition to the feedstocks of our Shepton Mallet-based plant in Evercreech. Some excellent business connections were made.

The plant at Evercreech is moving ever closer to being fully operational, and we can’t wait to contribute to the green energy resources to support the local community and the National Grid.

If you are interested in finding out more about this or any of Adapt’s other operations, please do get in touch.

We have showcased some of the highlights we experienced at the Mid Somerset Show and can’t wait to be back again next year.
