International visitors welcomed to Murrow AD

1 March 2023

We were delighted to welcome a real international group to the Murrow AD Plant and our Headquarters yesterday!

The 25 delegates represented developers, associations and government officials from seven countries from Central & Eastern Europe, as well as the Department for Trade and Business staff.

International visitors to Murrow

It was great to meet the group and share the AD plant with them all, to learn about our facilities and the opportunities anaerobic digestion process in the UK.

We were pleased to share the success of the Murrow plant, which since July 2020 has injected over 11 million cubic metres of biomethane into the UK national gas system.

This in tandem with our second plant in Evercreech Somerset, is making a significant impact on the need for traditional fossil natural gas and helps to contribute to the carbon neutral achievements for the UK and supporting the security of our homegrown green energy.

It is great to receive international visitors to the site to showcase how the UK is growing the renewable energy market. We welcome further opportunities to partner up with the Department for Business and Trade to promote UK export and to attract foreign investment to the UK.

We hope everyone enjoyed their day.
